Birdhouses

• Made of terra cotta clay which breathes and stays cool for baby birds.
• Each birdhouse is handmade and placement of images and colors will vary, making each one unique.

Each birdhouse is artist signed and a fully functional artwork. All entrances are sized for small birds such as wrens, finches and chickadees. Being made of terra cotta, all are impervious to attack by large birds, squirrels, or rot. Once hung, these birdhouses can remain outside year round.

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of of each piece, variations in image placement and color will occur. Website images are representational not exact.

Birdbaths

All bowls are handcrafted of terra cotta clay. Hand glazing and firing creates variations in color that enhance the unique qualities of each piece. Glazes used are food safe for humans and animals. Bowls can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher. Crazing may develop in the glaze over time. This is a  natural characteristic of the glaze and it will not adversely affect the bowl’s usefulness.

Bowls should be kept from freezing to prevent cracking. Each bowl is made with three small feet on the bottom so that they can become a stable serving bowl or centerpiece inside the home, when not used as a birdbath.

Every base is bent from mild steel, formed and welded by the artist. The steel is left uncoated. It is intented to be left outdoors year round and allowed to weather naturally. Three U shaped stakes are included with each base to securely anchor the base to the ground.

Sculptures

All sculptures are made individually and combine different metals and often glass. Steel is left unsealed to allow it to develop a natural patina over time.
