This commission began as a small mosaic for the stove area of the client’s North Carolina water front home. As sketches were emailed with ideas and conversations took place, the commission grew to over 300 tiles. The 9’5″ mosaic of a heron, a frog and dragonflies became the focal point. The other walls and nooks of the kitchen were tiled in dragonfly accent tiles and textured field tiles that were glazed to match the mosaic.
